The Prophet on Reach Out’s ‘injustice’
Posted under Headlines, Music by Ric with No Comments »

proph.jpg

[sarcasm] My gosh, what a poor rapper! [/sarcasm]

The Prophet lets out what he feels about Reach Out’s ‘injustice’ to him. He says that he is not being ‘credited enough’ for being a part of the single. I kinda agree with him, though. I’ve seen the music video on MTV, and it didn’t credit The Prophet. Who cares, though? He’s kinda new, so he shouldn’t expect much.

Putting this here, so you won’t forget:
Tomorrow is the Download Day for Reach Out, so I hope you have your 99 cents for tomorrow. Support her! This single needs to chart! iTunes, Amazon Music Store, WalmartMP3 Store and other legal online music stores. Limewire doesn’t count, n00b!

Thanks to Klara for sending me the article!

The Prophet, from Hilary Duff’s single “Reach Out” have spoken out about how he feels about not being credited enough for being a part of Duff’s single.

The 2008 track, which was produced by OneRepublic’s Ryan Teddler, features The Prophet as a guest rapper. He was also a part of the music video of the single. After a few months of the single’s exposure, he realized that he is not being recognized enough for taking part in the song. “I’m not really upset about [not being credited enough], I just wished they could’ve done me justice since I worked with it, [too].” says the new rapper.

That is just like how Madonna was less-recognized about being in Britney’s “Me Against the Music.” The Prophet isn’t credited with “featuring The Prophet” whenever the song gets played on the radio or gets shown on MTV or any music TV station. He clears up that he “is not really upset” but we clearly see his point! Do him some justice, it’s his song too!

“Hilary is a really great person to work with,” says the rapper. “she specifically chose me [as the rapper] after Ryan [Tedder] did some callbacks for 3 other new rappers.” And when we asked him if he had worked on anything music related: “Not soon.” he smiles.

War, Inc. is a terrible film…
Posted under Headlines, Movies by Ric with No Comments »

… according to some dumb virgins at ComingSoon.net. Because according to Yonica, ‘virgins are good for getting fucked, right?’ So, those virgins at ComingSoon.net should get fucked. ‘Vuck tem all.’
On a side note, I kinda agree that War, Inc. isn’t a good movie. To be honest, I just struggled through watching it because the plot/story is boring, ridiculous and pointless. The only thing that kept me going is the Yonica parts. Although, I should give kudos to the writers for coming up with such genius names.

War, Inc. lands the 16th spot on their list called, ‘25 Terrible Films of 2008.’ Not so bad. But considering that it is on a ‘terrible films’ list, it is a bad place to be in.

16. War, Inc. (First Look Studios) - John Cusack starred in and produced this edgy political satire about war profiteering, once again playing a hitman like he did in the cult classic Grosse Pointe Blank. Any attempt at intelligent political thoughts were quickly co-opted by a roster of ridiculous characters, the worst of them being Hilary Duff doing her worst impression of Christina Aguilera as over-sexed foreign pop star “Yonica Babyyeah.” The talents of many better actors were similarly wasted with all of the movie’s silliness.
Pull Quote: “There’s a subtle attempt at creating a character arc with depth ala ‘Grosse Pointe Blank,’ but it’s overshadowed by the ridiculous nature of the plotline.”

Umm, virgins, she is supposed to be ridiculous & horrible. And it’s not an impression. Although, what I couldn’t believe is, how come War, Inc. is considered ‘terrible’ more than that crap movie, ‘The Happening’? Ugh, that movie was terrible! War, Inc. should be in their spot. I mean, War, Inc. shouldn’t even be in that list. ‘The Eye’ is also a good movie, dimwits.

Check out the whole list here.

Unretouched Maxim Outtakes

Brand Hauser: I feel like I’m seeing you for the first time.
Yonica Babyyeah:
You’ve seen my ass, and you’re not liking it.

- War, Inc.

Sorry, people. I’m on a roll with quotes. And, no, I’m not saying that you can see her ass in this photoshoot.

retouchme.jpg

I’m sure as heck that you’re sick of seeing the new-ish Maxim photoshoot over and over again, but we’ve got some new Large-sized outtakes from the photoshoot! The photos are unretouched, I’m sure. But she still looks great! Thanks to Burning for the original photos and Esprit of Celebutopia for untagging the photos for us!

Terri Fletcher: Ugh, I can never get that note.
Robin Bitch: I can.

 - Raise Your Voice

Even Hilary and that mean Bitch is rejoicing! Reach Out has been sent to Radio after 3 months of waiting.

radioyay.jpg

Bastards. You heard her.
How dare you make her wait that long. That’s almost 3 months. 3 months of agony with sticking to the radio waiting for Reach Out to play. And yes, we were that desperate!

That’s almost how desperate I am to see/hear reach out on TV/the Radio. Just last night, I’ve seen the Reach Out music video on MTV for the first time after 2 long months. And now Reach Out is about to start getting played on Mainstream radio! Finally. Looks like Hollywood Records want to help with the iTunes Download Day by sending the song for adds. HALLELUJAH! That’s unbelievable… Hollywood Records want to help? Since when? Fuck them, still, though. We’ve been waiting so long. But thanks for the help with the Download Day anyway.

Speaking of the Download Day, Much Music’s MuchOnDemand helped BIGTIME with the Download Day. Yesterday, Reach Out slipped to #8 on their countdown and one of the hosts announced the download day on TV. How cool is that? They’ll help us a lot. Please get your 99 cents ready for January 6th, ya’ll. This will be a daily reminder. lol.

Start requesting Reach Out on the radio tomorrow as well. The Radio DJs have recieved a Promo copy of all the new songs which includes Reach Out. Help this highly-potential song, please!

Hilary rings the bell
Posted under Events, Photos by Ric with No Comments »

nyse.jpg

Hilary attended an event at the New York Stock Exchange after ringing the opening bell for the event.
But she didn’t go there as a celebrity — but as an ambassador (is that correct?) for her charity program which she is currently taking part on called ‘Blessings in a Backpack’. She looks incredible in this event, by the way.
Enjoy the photos

Japan loves Hilary!
Posted under Media, Music by Ric with 1 Comment »

Not only that ‘Best of’ sold 2, 000 more in there than the USA for its first week, but Japanese artists find beauty in her music! And no, I’m not trying to sound corny.

 becca.jpg
Image shows: Becca; a Japanese musician (who’s not Japanese!)

There’s this new musician from Japan named Becca who’s under Sony Music Japan. She’s not Japanese at all, she just happens to be in Japan. But heck, if she’s in America, she’d probably be a big-ish name. What’s up with your choices, girl?
So, anyway; she has this new album called ‘Alive!’ which is available in iTunes. Buy it because of 2 reasons:

  1. She’s amazing. She has a great voice… and she’s pretty!
  2. She covers a Hilary song!

You wanna know what that song is? It’s the all-time favorite of some fans, Outside of You! She covers it pretty well. Take a listen, and if you love it, download it in HQ!

Hilary lands #25 at Maxim’s 2008 Hot 100
Posted under Headlines, Magazines by Ric with 1 Comment »

 Source: Maxim.com

First of all, WTF is up with the picture that Maxim.com used? That is not something that boasts ’sexy’ at all. It’s more like the good-girl-next-door look. And she did a photoshoot for you that month, so why don’t you put it to a good use? Idiots. Now people’s first impression will be ‘WTF’ just like the way they reacted to other Disney stars who never intentionally showed their bodies, like Vanessa Hudgens (12) and Ashley Tisdale (10). And they’re both higher than Hilary, so a HUGE & LOUD ‘WTF’ goes to the dumbasses who came up with that Hot 100 list for this year.

 numbah25.jpg
Sorry about that picture. I know it’s overused, but you know you love it!

So, do you wanna know what number she’s on?
Not better than 5.
Not better than 10.
Not better than 20.
She’s in #25! Lower from last year.

She started off as a teen TV sensation, went on to star in movies that grossed hundreds of millions of dollars, two of her albums topped the charts, she has her own fashion line (Stuff by Hilary Duff—that rhymes!), and she’s only 20. Feel like a faliure yet? Well, if not, watch Hilary as she takes on political satire while playing a Central Asian pop star in this spring’s War, Inc. Is there anything she can’t do?

Umm, yes. Actually, there’s something she can’t do. You wanna know what that is? It’s to kick your ass-face and its little brother… your ass. She definitely showed off a lot last year, and she doesn’t deserve to drop. We all wanted her to get higher.

Disney VS Disney… what?
Posted under Miscellaneous by Ric with 4 Comments »

 lizzanna.jpg

Hmm, here’s something random to complete my post-whoring day.
Lizzie McGuire vs Hannah Montana

Clevver.com is truly clever. They posted this video about this imaginary fight, and seriously, I couldn’t agree more! If you’re a lazy ass, and you don’t wanna watch that, I’ll break down the facts which I would’ve never realized. (I know, I’m a loser.)

I think it’s very important to discuss the fact that if there hadn’t been a Lizzie McGuire show, we may never have been introduced to Hannah Montana. The huge success of Lizzie McGuire paved the way for shows like Hannah Montana, and others like That’s so Raven and Kim Possible. In fact, Hannah was actually created by Terri Minsky, who wrote for Lizzie from 2001 through 2004.

My gosh, she’s so right. If it wasn’t for Lizzie McGuire, would Disney even think their network is a success if Lizzie didn’t sky-rocket to the top? It’s like, an emo, for example (no offense). They’d slit their wrists if they think they’re a failure. And Disney is emo. Well, not literally. You get the point. If Lizzie didn’t exist, all their other shows would have been crap, because they don’t have the Lizzie crowd to tune in. And when they realize that it’s crap, they wouldn’t be motivated to make TV Shows like Hannah Montana. See how much ~change~ Hilary can make? She’s so amazing, hehe.

Comparisons between the relationships of the lead female characters and their sidekicks in each comedic show are constantly drawn, but truth be told the plotlines of the Disney hits couldnt be more different.

Seriously! What the heck is up with these 2-girls-1-guy-best-friend-group? Did Lizzie start this?
Hannah Montana has Miley, Lilly then Oliver… 2 girls, 1 guy!
Then there’s That’s So Raven. Raven, Chelsea and Eddie… 2 girls, 1 guy!
Then there’s Nickelodeon copycats: iCarly. Carly, Sam and Freddie… 2 girls, 1 guy!
I won’t add up to it, because I might list 20 TV shows like that. But you get my point.

Either way, both shows had insane ratings. Even Disney will be the first to admit that the success of each tween hit went far beyond their wildest expectations. Both hit shows spawned sold-out concert tours, merchandise galore and feature films.

Pfft. Yeah right. Hannah Montana WAS expected to be a hit. Lizzie McGuire was popular because of real, original fans. While Hannah.. I think Lizzie’s fans were just passed on to that? Yeah, I’m a Lizzie fan. I was passed on to Hannah. It’s just like that, basically. Lizzie STRIVED and WORKED HARD for its fans. Hannah quickly became over-rated. Disney is a monster machine.

The bottom line is, (totally unrelated) I’m SO glad Hilary isn’t affiliated with Disney anymore. Just stop those Disney Mobile commercials, and she’s all good!

Somebody shut Us Weekly up.
Posted under Headlines by Ric with 1 Comment »

… shut them up if they don’t know what the real title of Hilary’s single is. Seriously, where did they come up with “Reach Me”? I almost spat the soda in my mouth when I read it. But that’s not the point.

Duff says she isn’t afraid to show her sexual side occasionally.

Take her sexy new music video “Reach Me,” for instance.

“I was ready to do something different,” the singer says. “The intent was not to be overtly sexual; I’m not naked. I do have little shorts on in it ? but I also wear a giant tutu. It’s good to show different sides of yourself.”

The article from UsMagazine.com — which is too long and SO not new for us, fans — mentions that she ‘plays’ with her image and quotes her that it’s fun. Is it just Us Weekly’s lack of research or did she really say that? Because if she did. Think about it:

She PLAYS  with her image. So she thinks her image is a joke? Because, Hilary, look at how many people who don’t approve this sexy thing. From War, Inc. to Reach Out to Maxim. She really should take her image seriously. Your image is not a movie, Hilary. But hey, guys love the ~image~.

And I hope this Maxim photoshoot is THE peak of her gradual transformation on being sexual. First, it was a super mature role on War, Inc. Second it was the mostly-clothed sexy photoshoots for FHM, first Maxim photoshoot, then Shape magazine. Third, it’s the Reach Out music video and then fourth, this half-clothed Maxim photoshoot. If there’s still something next to that, it better be the same. I hope it wouldn’t be more controversial, like, totally naked.

Who agrees with me on this?

Get horny excited, big boys!
Being inappropriate is appropriate for now. Hilary looks hot on the January 2009 issue of Maxim Magazine.
Ya’ll should read the interview. It clears up some of the most controversial rumors. If you’re not interested in gossip, she talks about music there, too. If you’re still not interested in that; then you just want to see the photos so that you can do naughty stuff.
